Walk Don’t Run (Bruce Pumpa) Everywhere I go these days we’re all in such a hurry I wonder what goes on inside to cause us all that worry Sometimes we lose sight of all the good things that we’ve got Chasing after empty dreams and things don’t mean a lot (Chorus) Walk Don’t Run, I thought I heard you calling Walk Don’t Run, you know we’ve got all day Walk Don’t Run, you know that I’m not stalling Cos when you’re here, I want you to stay I think it’s time to slow down and take stock of our lives Make time for friends and loved ones, husbands, daughters, sons and wives We need to get back to what keeps us going strong Get back to know the people who’ve been with us all along (Chorus) I sat by the riverside and thought I really oughtta Take more time to come down here and look out on the water Drifting down upon a dream, just you and me together Floating down along a stream, on a day that lasts forever (Chorus x2)

Random Acts of Kindness (Bruce Pumpa) Random acts of kindness committed by a white knight Who cuts through all the mindlessness, to do what he thinks is right He’s higher than your Royal Highness, this ordinary man He’s up there with the fines doing good wherever he can He’ll go help a lady, with a baby in a pram And when your car is broken down he’ll always lend a hand He’s the one who’ll check on the man lying in the gutter While everybody else just stands around and mutters Random acts of kindness, random acts of joy This lovely little man was a lovely little boy Always doing good, every place he goes He just feels he should, it’s the only way he knows He will drive you home and go miles out of his way And when you’re short of cash, he’ll insist that he must pay He’s the one who talks to the person who is shy And he’ll give you a clean hanky when you just can’t help but cry He doesn’t have any plan He’s just doing what he can To put a smile on someone’s face And in doing so, the World’s a better place Random acts of kindness, plain for him to see Doesn’t suffer blindness, he’s a vision for what should be Random acts of kindness, he just likes helping people Everyone looks up to him, on a Church he’d be the steeple He’ll look in on your Mother, when you’re out of town And he’ll greet you with a smile, when you greet him with a frown He’s the one who’ll listen and is never one to judge And has a faith in people that’s impossible to budge Random acts of kindness committed by a white knight Who cuts through all the mindlessness, to do what he thinks is right He’s higher than your Royal Highness, this ordinary man He’s up there with the finest doing good wherever he can Random acts of kindness, random acts of joy This lovely little man was a lovely little boy Always doing good, every place he goes He just feels he should, it’s the only way he knows Random acts of kindness

Lifeline 03:44
Lifeline (Bruce Pumpa) I’ve always had a sunny disposition So it’s hard to know how one gets here It isn’t really funny this position Full of trepidation and fear I never have been in this situation Though I’ve been in fairly dire straits I’m not sure how to deal with the frustration Only know I shouldn’t sit and wait Lifeline. Just do something Lifeline. To show how much you care Lifeline. If you do the one thing Lifeline. Just be sure you’re there Won’t somebody throw out a lifeline Won’t you please just hold out your hand It’s not going quite like the plan is When a soul just can’t understand If you please just send one a lifeline It will help to halt one’s decline If you’ll only send out a lifeline Think that things might just work out fine Lifeline. Just do something Lifeline. To show how much you care Lifeline. If you do the one thing Lifeline. Just be sure you’re there Everybody sometimes needs a lifeline Everybody sometimes needs a hand Sometimes need a shoulder to be cried on Sometimes need someone who’ll understand Won’t you please just send one a lifeline Won’t you please just hold out your hand Won’t you be a shoulder one can cry on Won’t you be someone who understands Lifeline. Just do something Lifeline. To show how much you care Lifeline. If you do the one thing Lifeline. Just be sure you’re there Lifeline. Just do something Lifeline. To show how much you care Lifeline. If you do the one thing Lifeline. Just be sure you’re there Lifeline. Just do something Lifeline. To show how much you care Lifeline. If you do the one thing Lifeline. Just be sure you’re there Lifeline

The Tree 01:20
The Tree (Bruce Pumpa) Some days I think I'll never see A thing as lovely as a tree A tree stands straight and true But then again you always do Some days I think I'll never see A thing as lovely as a tree A tree stands straight and true But in our hearts there's always you

You're lost down the deepest, dark tunnel But still there's a pinhole of light You move so slowly towards it But boy it's a hell of a fight (Chorus) Just hold on and things will get brighter You can't always feel this way The load you carry will get a little lighter Tomorrow could be a better day You feel like a zombie in your own space People rush past and don't notice you You're lost in another time, another place But the spirit's inside and your heart beats true (Chorus) One day you'll blink in the daylight And see the sun so bright You've finally came out of that tunnel And you've got to the start of the light (New chorus) You've held on and things have got brighter You're out in the sunshine today The load you carry has got a little lighter Today is a better day (repeated)

When Push Comes to Shove, The Greatest Thing is Love (Bruce Pumpa) I don’t want to make too finer point of it And I know it’s gonna hurt a little bit (Chorus) (But) when push comes to shove, the greatest thing is love (The greatest thing is love) Thank the heavens above for this great thing that is love (The greatest thing is love) It’s written in the stars, we should shout it from our cars The greatest thing is love (The greatest thing is love) I see it on the street, it’s with people when they meet The greatest thing is love (The greatest thing is love) I don’t want to make a welter out of it But I want to tell you all about it (Chorus) You see it in the eyes of the children when they smile The greatest thing is love (The greatest thing is love) You feel it in the air when you’re with the ones who care The greatest thing is love ((The greatest thing is love) (Solos: Digital steel guitar, Piano, Harmonica) I know that you have heard it all before But can I say as you’re heading for the door (Chorus) You hear it on the news, it’s with people who share your views The greatest thing is love (The greatest thing is love) And with people who you don’t, with some always won’t But the greatest thing is love (The greatest thing is love) Outro The greatest thing is love (The greatest thing is love) x2 When push comes to shove, the greatest thing is love (The greatest thing is love) The greatest thing is love (The greatest thing is love) x2 The greatest thing

Refuge Island (Bruce Pumpa) We live on an island, but islands we’re not God gives us plenty to share what we’ve got People come here who’ve run out of choices They need people like us, to raise up our voices (Chorus) Refuge Island in the sun You know we’re not the only ones Show compassion and some grace We’re all first in the human race People come here from war torn lands They need people like us to extend our hands To welcome in peace, and to show them respect If the tables were turned, it’s what we would expect (Chorus) Freedom is not free he said And on that I can agree But the price they pay is so much more Than the price for you and me Welcome come in, worth such a lot People need some place, when you’ve lost all you've got We can all grow, on a solid base And an island like this one, should be just the place (Chorus x 2)

My Father is the River, My Mother is the Earth How can we count the cost without thinking of the worth Our granchildren won't thank us for maing lots of dough While letting our land crumble and our streams and rivers go The water that sustains us and the ground where things can grow Are vital to our way of life, of this we all should know The beauty of the forests, should be saved for all to share With the animals that inhabit them, we know it's only fair (Chorus) Save the Earth and save the streams Know their worth and know your dreams The time to act is now If we don't act now it could be too late We're custodians of the future, the time to act is now The Earth and streams are sacred, just like our holy cow The beauty that abounds us, of riches rare and pure At every stage, maintain the rage and ensure that they endure Let's preserve our forests, the lungs of the Earth Let's make sure the rivers flow from the hills down to the surf These things are just too precious to let them slip on by Let's protect our planet from the sea up to the sky (Chorus)

I’m Getting Sick and Tired (Bruce Pumpa) I went to the shop and bought a sausage roll It wasn’t very hot, so I threw it in a hole I went to my friend’s, but my friend he wasn’t there He told me to come over, but he couldn’t even care I’m getting sick and tired and I won’t be coming back So many things these days are going to the pack I phoned up my bank at One and they put me in a queue My call was important to them, but I was still waiting at Two I went the pub, but the beer I got was flat I told the bartender, but he said it comes like that I’m getting sick and tired and I won’t be coming back So many things these days are going to the pack I went to the Dentist and he filled my mouth with tools And proceeded to ask me stuff, like how’s your kid like school I went to my Doctor and she put me on the couch She said this will not hurt a bit, but it did so I went Ouch I’m getting sick and tired and I won’t be coming back So many things these days are going to the pack I went to the hospital and they said Please get some rest Then woke me every hour to give me another test I went to the Morgue, to see my Uncle Jack He got sick and tired, and he won’t be coming back I’m getting sick and tired but I will be coming back I’m sick and tired today, but tomorrow I’ll be back I’ll be back, I’ll be back, I’ll be back,

Anything Can Happen (Bruce Pumpa) Anything can happen, when you make a start When you make your mind up, and do what’s in your heart Anything can happen, when you set to roll Momentum is momentous, you’re feeling 10 foot tall Find out what you need to do and do it You will be so glad when you get to it If you have a problem you’ll get through it Listen to your heart Anything can happen, anything can happen Ever had a feeling that you blew it But deep down inside you always knew it Wouldn’t last and you’d get through it And play the greater part Anything can happen, like falling off a log Like learning the piano, or getting yourself a dog Anything can happen, when you jump right in You anticipate the danger, but you play to win Anything can happen, anything can happen Anything can happen, when you take a chance Like taking up macramé, or learning how to dance Anything can happen, you won’t know unless you try The feeling of satisfaction, is something you can’t buy Anything can happen, anything can happen, anything can happen Anything can happen, when giving it a whirl A great big world of wonder, is starting to unfurl Anything can happen, you’re playing your own tune You’re feeling supersonic, like a rocket to the moon

about

Forget Me Nots is about looking after each other and yourself. I think that music can have healing qualities and if people can get some of that feeling from my songs then I am happy.

Jeremy P Martin recorded and co-produced the album, played guitar and bass on a number of tracks, and provided backing vocals on one. Richard Grace plays double bass on a number of tracks. Stuart Naylor plays trumpet on a couple of tracks, and sings and plays percussion on one. Greg Millard plays saxophone and Steele Foster plays trombone on one. Rohan Kay plays guitar on one and Gretchen Anderson played the viola on one. I would like to thank all these great artists for their wonderful contributions.
