I was inspired to write this song by the great classic soul and gospel songs by the likes of Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding. Greg Millard who plays saxophone on it, came up with the idea of the brass intro which he plays with Stuart Naylor on trumpet. They both also play beautifully through the song including thier solos. Backing vocals are provided by Stuart, Lol Sugar and Jeremy P Martin, who also plays guitar and bass.

You Bet Your Life I Would
(Bruce Pumpa)

I don’t want to ask you, but I really want to know
If you thought you love me, would you ever let it show
Maybe it’s because you’re shy, or maybe you’re not sure
But my feelings I can’t hold inside, it’s you that I adore

You bet your life I would
Be yours if I only could
You and me would be so good
Worth the world to me- e- e

I’d be your do-right man
Right beside your side I’d stand
Help you to realise your plans
Life would be so goo-oo -ood

I want to know if you fell the way I do
Love oughtta be the same for me and you
Give me a sign if you care for me
My heart’s in chains and is longing to be free

You take your time with it
I’ll be just fine with it
Whatever you decide with it
Message understoo-oo-ood

You bet your life I would
Treat you like no other could
You and me would be so good
Guaranteed to plea-ea-ease

(Trumpet Solo)
(Saxophone Solo)

Id stake my life on it
Don’t need to think twice on it
Couldn’t put a price on it
Worth the world to me-e e X 3
